webcrafter
I have searched in an attempt to find information on this topic. When filling in the API information in RC2 for the PayPal module once I save the API information it displays the pink box with a warning sign and "paypal template isn't valid"Could someone please clarify what this warning message means? Is there something in PayPal that needs to be set up, an error in the module or what? When an attempt is made to pay for an order the long form error that comes up is "Paypal error: (invalid or undefined business account email)" even though the email put in the module set up is correct as is the API information, copied and pasted directly from PayPal account API area.Any suggestions, or at least help in where the problem is coming from so I can fix would be greatly appreciatedThanks,Brad
webcrafter
The changelog for RC3 says something about a fix, so getting ready to install a test copy and test it out.

webcrafter
So here is the problem, I haven't been able to find a fix on any of the forum searches, perhaps I am wording it wrong or something, or perhaps it just hasn't been come across since these are release candidates and not stable releases. The paypal module works fine on a fresh install, it works fine after I install the unique template. When I do a database backup from RC2 and then import it into RC4 the PayPal module is broken.Any suggestions on how to fix this, or get a proper database import from the older version without breaking the new one? Thanks,Brad
alexafer
I encounter the same problem: I updated from PS1.3.6 to 1.4.0.17 and cannot validate my API identifiers within the paypal module 2.0... it displays "invalid paypal template".The first issue I had was to get into that module: I found a post on this forum recommending to disable cache / it worked fine. Many thanks in advance for your help regarding the second issue. BWT
@mike505-Go to your back office click modules tab then click payments and gateways. Go to paypal and click configure.Fill out your paypal settings including your paypal API (if you don't have one click the link to get one. you have to login to paypal to get API)Below that there is one more setting called logos and personalization "Template A. B. C. make sure you select one of those to finish your set up of the paypal module. I chose A I don't think it matters what one you select it's just the layout paypal uses when they transfer your customer to there page. Save settings All done!
