Date Field Added to Product - Which files do I need to modify?

Hi,

This is my first post and I have searched for this answer but so far I have not found the info.

I would like to just use php/mysql to add a date field and also a start time field and end time field in order to sell events as products. I know it is not as simple as simply adding the field to one table in phpMyAdmin and I'm willing to modify the code of all the files and tables required. It would be great to know the list required though.

i am searching for this info too if anyone knows how this can be achieved as I have products that want them be available from-to, e.g. something like specials.

 

As a temporary solution I am using the Prices of each products which have such fields but since I am using Prestashop only as a catalog is not very convenient as Specials are not shown when in catalog unless I add the price-drop page as a link somewhere on the page.

 

Or the best way is to modify the Specials so that are visible with catalog mode on?
