Filter manufactuer list by product name.

Hi there,

I'm trying to create a filter system (not supported by any of the already mentioned filter modules around).

I have a select box listing each manufacturer (select box #1).
And then another select box (select box #2) listing all products associated with the selected manufacturer in select box #1.
In the main time i have navigated to the manufacture list page, listing all the products now in the select box #2.

What i want to do now is upon selecting a product from the drop down, now filter the manufacturer list down to all products that have a name equivalent to the selected option from select box #2.

There are up to 2 products with the same name, one is a manufacturer product, the other an after market product.

I would thoroughly appreciate any help.
