Overriding theme files without child theme?

Hi, 

Is it possible to override the theme files without using a child theme? 

I've put my files in override/theme/my_themes/templates ... etc

and then I deleted var/cache/prod/class_index.php 

However it doesn't seem to work.

Hi...

you can not override themes template in "override" folder.

in "override" folder you can override controller and classes of Presatshop.
