iYann
Hi,I'm a beginner with PS 1.0.0.8.My shop cart has 16 categories, but one of them gives me trouble for inserting its description. It gives me this message:"an error occurred while updating object category"My description is 942 characters long, but do I have other categories that are 1200 characters and more. I need that much to describe my products.I tried to reduce the number of characters step by step and the maximum I can have with that particular category is 316. Which doesn't cut it for me...Could anyone help me out with this ? I tried to look in the tables in PhpMyAdmin but I couldn't figure anything out of itThanks in advance,Yann
msk69
I'd the same problem, and found where it is..Try it without product desription and you will probably see that it will update.I think the problem is in the copy and paste into the description, and unallowed charachters.Hope it works for you... it took me some time to figure out where the problem was. iYann
Thanks msk69,I finally realized the word that blocked my description !I used the word triggered and that's where it blocks. In fact, I found Prestashop doesn't let u use the word "trigger"...
Jumpship
Just had the same problem editing terms and conditions in the CMS. Prestashop doesn't like the word 'Revoke' either!

rocky
Yes, Comunion contains the word UNION, so it will be blacklisted.

cromata
Is there a problem if i edit the list of words and remove one of them?for example remove the word UNION from the blacklist to ad Comunion on a category name.RegardsMario
rocky
You could remove UNION from the blacklist, but I suggest that you add it back in after you've added the word comunion, or even better, purposely misspell it without union and then fix it directly in the database. The blacklist is there to prevent MySQL injection attacks.
twilight
I think the problem is in the copy and paste into the description Hi, You may have saved me alot of time with this phrase. I keep getting the cannot update category error. When i started typing directly into the directions instead of using the copy and paste feature...I seem to be doing fine...so far!I will update if the error comes back but for now, this seems to have, maybe SOLVED the problem.
