Products in Order

Im trying to organise my products in the order that I would like them to appear in the shop.

In the back office it lists the first 20 products, then the next page has the next 20, etc, etc.

So, it would seem that it is allowing me to move the first 20 up & down in any order but if I want one from page 2 to appear on page 1, that isnt an option.

Can anyone tell me if this is the case or am I not seeing something?

In backoffice>>preferences>>products

Half way down the page you can specify the default order by. The choices are:

product name, product price, product added date, manufacturer or modified date

you can also specify ascending or descending

So, if you were to choose "modified date" and edit each product and re-save I can you would be able to have precise control, assuming the five choices above are not good enough for you. However I have not actually tried this myself
