Cost Tamers
Can some of you tell what you think is the best browser to use for Prestashop?Reason: 408 Request Time-outThis request takes too long to process, it is timed out by the server. If it should not be timed out, please contact administrator of this web site to increase 'Connection Timeout'.I think the browser is timing out while waiting for the products to be install in the shop. PrestaShopDeveloper
It's not a browser issue. Are you trying to regenerate the thumb images on a store with a lot of products (images)?
Cost Tamers
No, I have the spread sheet loaded in Presta, as I am importing the products in the back office, it times out after about 2 min. This only allows about 700 products per try. I have 17000 with more to come.
PrestaShopDeveloper
This is a server configuration "execution time limit". Ask your hosting provider if you can make it's value higher. 1) This can be done from the PHP code (if this is enabled at your hosting provider)2) This can be done from the PHP.INI directive (if this is enabled at your hosting provider)3) This can be done from .htaccess (if this is enabled at your hosting provider)4) Ask your hosting provider support if this value can be temporary set to 0 (unlimited) so you can import your products

Truemedia
I cant tell you the best, but I can tell you one that will give you a lot of problems, Opera.Somethings like uploading and some ajax things dont work and although opera is a good browser better to use chrome or safari.
