Upload products via Excel spreadsheet - advice please

Hi all,

When I download my catalogue via PhP MyAdmin in to an excel spreadsheet, I get tons of different tabs.

Is there a way I can cut these tabs (sheets) down to just one sheet, add products and upload them to the server?
I am trying to cut down on the time it takes me to add over 2000 products to mny catalogue and site.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, bearing in mind that I am neither a PhP or an excel wiz.
