PLS HELP - H1 Tag. SEO told me I do not have an H1 Tag

Hello. I used a few SEO softwares online and offline to help me improve my google rankings. All the SEO softwares are telling me that I do not have a H1 Tag.

I did insert page title, keywords and meta keywords, but i don't see a H1 box. I went to your “Back Office >> Preferences >> Meta-Tag“. There will be index.php, click to edit. I added all my information in all boxes that was needed, but still it sais that I do not have a H1 Tag.

Please help me.

As far as I know PS does not use h1 tag. In later versions h1 was used for logo wrapper and in latest version it has been removed again and added to Home Editor block instead. Overall PS is semantic, but does not use well h1, h2, h3... tags for SEO.

I would recommend you to at least add H1 to product.tpl and replace existing h2, change:

{$product->name|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}

to

{$product->name|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}

and h2, h3... use for paragraph headings in product description.

You will need to to play with styles to make it look nice. You can also take a look to the site at my signature where we completely rearranged heading structure.

Is there a mod / add on that will let me do this change? knowing me I'll probably delete something that I'm not suppose to and destroy my store...

I don´t think there is such MOD, because it requires to change the theme files and these files differ theme to theme.

I just replaced the H2 to a H1 at both ends of the line.

I changed nothing but that once number from 2 to 1.

It was in my /public_html/practicehvac.com/themes/prestashop

I waited a couple of minutes and used the http://www.pearanalytics.com/ and still it sais i have no H1 tag.

Is there another place I need to change?

It fixes missing h1 only for product pages. You will need to make similar changes to category.tpl file etc.

Do i need to do this to every .html page i have? I mean I have a products page, about me page and other pages. Do i need to go to every .tpl of every page and change the sentence H2 and replace it with H1 now for the pages to have a H1 tag google can see?
