Order confirmation for admin

Recommended Posts

Hello,

When customers place an order I get an e-mail with no useful information.
I don't know who placed it, what was purchased, etc.
This is very important for me - I read somewhere that it would work with HTML e-mails enabled - this is not an option for me, as I use a third party e-mail-system that does not accept HTML email.

Any modules or core modifications that solves this?

Secondly I was wondering if it was possible for my customers to see a more extended delivery time for my products.
I have two types of goods.

- Imported goods

- In stock: 3-5 days

- Out of stock: 5-8 days

- Local goods

- In stock: 1-2 days

- Out of stock: 1-3 days

Is there any module or setting that could do something like this?

Thank you very much for your appreciated help! :-)

Have a nice weekend.

Hi thezoon,

For the extended delivery time notification in FO (and settings in BO) when products are out of stock, only the new PS1.4 has that feature. The older 1.3 versions, including the stable 1.3.6 don't have it. It's built-in natively under Shipping options in PS1.4.

If you're looking for something similar for PS1.3, here's a module "Date Picker" which you may want to take a look: http://www.ecommy.com/products/date-picker-with-hours-prestashop-p-32.html

To receive Orders e-mails from customers in text format, go Back Office >> Preferences >> Email. Set E-mail option (1st box, 3rd set of options) to Send e-mail as Text with the green radio button next to it by clicking on that option. (This is for PS 1.3.6. I'm not sure how it looks like for PS1.4 though.) remember to test your e-mail configuration to ensure you can receive it.

Thank you for your reply.

I just receive a blank e-mail (subject: New order) but no content at all.

Do you know how to disable the e-mail sent to buyer "On Backorder" while were at it?

Thank you very much.

Thank you very much.

Go Back Office >> Orders >> Statuses.
Edit the order status On backorder
Uncheck the option Send e-mail to customer when order is changed to this status

You might want to disable the permission to let customers place orders when products are out of stock but still visible in the FO catalog.
You can set it from Back Office >> Preferences >> Products
