How to create button?

Hello everyone!
I'm new with prestashop development. I can't find any kind of tutorials so I came here to ask a question.

I don't understand how prestashop works(I'm familiar with Laravel, Symfony).. How can I create a button that directs to a new page or opens a modal? I don't ask for a code just explain me how can I make it.

EDIT: I want to make a button that opens a new page. So how can I create a new page? Do I have to create a template first? Then how to make a button that opens that page?
