Installation problem 1.4.0.xx (9,10,11) on Wampserver database already excist..step 3

Recommended Posts

Hi, my name is roy and i am testing prestashop on wamp (windows 7).

When i install version 1.3.6.0 i have no problem with installation and can run prestashop without problems.

But when i want to install version 1.4.0.xx (9,10,11) i get stuck on step 3 of the installation.

He installed the files on my prestashop database, database is also connected but he refused to go to step 4.

When i press again on next i see the message database already excist , drop it or change prefix.

What is my problem do i somethging wrong ??

Try severel times a new install but still have this problem, when i go back to 1.3.6.0 install no problem....

I am curious too, can someone answer this simple question?
I have 1.3.6 installed on wampserver, and want to upgrade to 1.4.

Can I make 2 databases on wampserver mySQL?

so Prestashop
and Prestashop b 1.4

Or is it better to create the PS 1.4 on the future host server ( I could get a webhost today). The 1.3.6 shop that I created is not fully loaded with products, its just a concept layout, so I could also create it new on a real server (in stead of wampserver) What would you suggest?

Thank you in advance.

Grtz, Don

I was also planning to install 1.4 on a webhost today, but I red so many problems for upgrading to the final 1.4 version which will come soon, that I hesitate a little.
But I would like to try the latest PS version now, is it maybe wiser to try and install this one on a different subdomain, before installing the final 1.4 version on my real domain that I will use??

Who can answer this?

Thanks in advance!.
Don
