how to set the homepage to be home category page ?

Hi,

I am using Prestashop 1.7.4.1

Is there a way I could set the homepage to be the home category one ?

I have kept the default theme.

When I was on Prestashop 1.4, there was no homepage as such, it used to go straight to the home category with the menu on the left hand side and the products on the right.

I would like to get the same thing on 1.7.4.1, but I don't know how to get rid of the homepage. And I can't make it look like the home category page, because the menu does not appear on the left side only, it takes the whole width.

Has anyone a clue for how to achieve this ?

I would greatly appreciate any help.
