angelsonearth
i have deleted any carriers we didn't need and have only got pick up from our premises now (defined as a carrier). under the tab "shipping / fees" no carriers can be selected despite a carrier being programmed (view attachments) . i have installed a pick up module (cash on delivery) after problems have occurred, which hasn't solved the problem, that nothing can be added to the cart. the error message comes up that no default carrier is selected. any suggestions please? angelsonearth
the problem is still strange, today i logged in to change text in the item description. prior to making that change only, the right column with new products and cart was displayed. once i saved the new information, the right column disappeared again.... as for the ordering impossibility due to carrier issues, here's the print screen that may help.thanks for any help you may offer. Troy
Go to Carriers and look at "Module" at the bottom and place the tick at X. That is what I do for my carrier. See whether it works.
angelsonearth
thank you, troy, for this hint.... the carrier now gets displayed and an item can be added to the cart. very pleasing - thanks for having had a look at this! saved.... wonderfully enough, my right hand side column is now visible again as well - not that this makes sense to me, but having put the x where you recommended seems to have done the trick, keep fingers crossed it will stay that way. one new small issue that arose with this change: while it is now possible to add a product to the cart, before doing so, a warning message comes up: An error occurred during a connection to www.magicwheels.com.au:443.SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)this error also comes up when i remove an item from the cart.....another problem that arose with this change is that the logo image in the upper left hand side corner (it really goes all across, but the space holder is in the top left corner above the left column) disappears once a product is added to the cart or when showing the cart summary. kindly enough, it at least writes what the logo is to say... how do i fix that one?any recommendations? thanks for your help. how glorious that some people donate their time to others to help them solve their issues, truly appreciated. TeenageStyle
How do I set a carrier as default?
angelsonearth
How do I set a carrier as default? go to the shipping tab at the top of your backoffice, select the carrier option just underneath in the new options that now appear, it's on the far left hand side top corner. once you've got the carrier page open, in the bottom half it says carrier options and there you select the carrier you want from the drop down menu. you may need to first go into the carrier you want by editing it (same window, just above) clicking on the pen and paper icon, then on the next page under group access you set it default. hope that's what you needed to know.
