Dave Egerton
Hi Eveyone,This is my first post so I apologise if this info has been covered, I did have a look around but in the end and could not find what I was looking for so decided it would be easier to post.Firstly, I have been using Magento all this year and its very good software. But I have had some customers who require multi-warehouse and store collection and this is not available.I am not clear about suppliers or some aspects of pricing so here are my questions.Multi-warehouse Does PS support multi-warehouse where there can be one webshop but stock is held in more than one warehouse. So when a customers orders, if there also bricks and mortar shops, the customer can a) check stock availability at their local shop (stock quality by warehouse) and go collect it from that local shop.PricingA few times, I have had requests to calculate selling pricing based on cost price plus a mark-up. So an item that is say £10.00 cost would have a 100% mark-up and thus sell for £20.00.if some products are purchased in different countries, say USA then is it possible to have cost price $10.00 x Exchange rate = £cost, then apply mark-up for selling costDoes PS allow for setting up different prices lists, trade 1, trade 2, trade 3 etc and then the ability to specify a customer belongs to that price listAttributesOn sites like Asos.com a visitor can search for say "dresses" and then narrow that search by colour, price range etc to quickly get to the product choices they are interested in. Does PS allow this capability.Prestashop does really look good, (especially considering is quite new still) and I like the smaller footprint and reduced overhead for SME customers.many thanks
Dave Egerton
I guess I have asked something in the wrong way?Can anyone just confirm if multi-warehouse is a function within PS. I am trying my best to find this out and my confusion was on an article I read that seemed to imply it was possible.I can see there are suppliers, but I guess this is simply for stock control and purchasing in the back end. I assume you cannot set-up two suppliers for the same product (same part code) and the system therefore assumes you have a product, which is supplied by a supplier, and you simply set the quantity in stock - in which case there is no multi-warehouse (where the buyer can select which warehouse to buy from so they can go and collect from that shop )Can someone who is familiar with the software just give me a quick answer to this one area please. It would be appreciated and will help me evaluate PS as an eCommerce solution to use and supportThanks

Welcome and thanks for your questions Currently we doesn't support Multi-warehouse, maybe in v1.3 or v1.4 PricingA few times, I have had requests to calculate selling pricing based on cost price plus a mark-up. You'll be able to create customer groups and define specific rebate for each of them. Dave Egerton
Dear Bruno,Thank you so much for clearing that up.The fact you have multi-warehouse on your radar for a future version is very exciting - its something very few (in fact I don't know of any) good open source products have as standardWith more pricing flexibility coming also, that is just superb.. so I think I am decided and will now get to grips with the templating system -We have a lot of eCommerce customers and I am sure, in time, if all goes well, we will contribute to the forum and the development of some nice modules that others can use and enjoy too.Once again, thank you for your prompt response
