Music Junkee
Hello,I've seen a few threads about the error I'm getting while testing a shop site we're putting together. So far none of the suggestions have worked. We have a Paypal business acount and I am trying to make a small test transaction from my own personal account to see if it works. Both business and my own account are in the United Kingdom. When I log into my account, I get the message "PayPal does not allow your country of residence to deliver to the country you wish to" and I can only click 'return to merchant'. I have tried editing the redirect.tpl file as suggested, and I still get the issue. I have tried removing the dot from the API string and I can't even get to the PayPal page if do that. It's a strange error as everything is UK based, and all the European zones are enabled fine. Can anybody suggest what to look into, for us to fix it? Robert G.
Shipping address country in the store doesn't match the buyer's country on file at PayPal. Since address_override is specified in redirect.tpl, it attempts to force it to overwrite to that country, fails and thus returns the error. To fix it: change address_override to 0, or ensure your buyer passes the correct country belonging to his account. Music Junkee
Wrote a whole reply out but I was barking up completely the wrong tree, and I've now solved the problem! As both countries are United Kingdom, I was really stumped with this. The problem is that the Country Code list in Shipping > Countries lists the United Kingdom as 'UK' when it SHOULD actually be 'GB'. When I edited this to 'GB' the payment went through with no errors at all.I checked the Official List that's linked from the Prestashop admin on the same page, and it states that GB would be the official code. http://www.iso.org/iso/country_codes/iso_3166_code_lists/english_country_names_and_code_elements.htmMight be worth noting this for a future bug fix!
