falconhead
yes I'm facing the same problem with 1.4.10 RC1, it was a clean install on my local WAMP server, in the step 3, after pressing the next button I observe that the tables are all created in the database but that page stays there, and we cant proceed to step4. I tried dropping all the tables and clicking on the "next" button again but it still does not work and stays at step 3 even though the tables are all created in the DB.any help? FrogWild
I just tried doing a clean install for 1.4 RC3... first the "install" folder was missing - It's currently named "install-dev" so I changed the name. Now I'm getting a 404 error. Maybe I'll install 1.3.6 first then try an upgrade?
shokinro
If keep your existing store running is very import (for example, it is already in service and have orders every day), I suggest do as following. This is what I have been doing and I think it is safe that you will not loose any order.1. keep your existing store running until, new store is up and tested OK2. create a new store by duplicating your existing store with whole copy of code and databasse3. upgrade your duplicated store to new version that you target4. when your new upgraded store tested OK, then stop existing store, and back it up for future reference.5. change new store folder and the URL of new store
