shaiss
I have a client that's running PS 1.1.0.5 and wants to upgrade to 1.4 when it's released. Anyone have any experience with a major version upgrade? Lest just consider bare bones upgrade of the store. They have about 20 products. So let's ignore theming and any custom modules they may have. How many hours would you estimate?
Kelvin Koh
I'd say 3 hours. That is when they have information of their products and customers exported in csv format or already have the spreadsheets prepared.Installing the barebones PS 1.4 is fast, 20 minutes max is probably you'll need. The rest of the time will be spent on configuring currencies, languages, payment gateways, configuring other modules and layout (hooking modules into position), creating categories, uploading images and products, executing runs to suss out & sort out kinks before it's operational.
