Blocknewsletter tpl not replacing email template vars

Hello,

 

I am having issues displaying the customer {firstname} and {lastname} in newsletter conf tpl from blocknewsletter module. ( Hi {firstname} {lastname} , ...)

It won't populate/replace the variables, it just displays their names and the brackets.

I would really appreciate some tips, I don't know where should I pass $customer->firstname and lastname to the newsletter conf tpl.

Worked with this module before and never had this problem.

Hello,

If you have not touched the email template, maybe it has been overwritten in the theme you are using, just delete it temporary, clear the cache and try again.
