Ben_outside
Hi guys, We've got an issue with an online website. Since 2 weeks, Google doesn't want to accept our Shopping flux anylonger because of a langage issue. Indeed, when the bot comes on the website, it directly sees the */en version of any page, even if you ask him to visit a */fr page. They asked us to make the modification in order to accept the flux again but on my side, it seems everything is configured the right way. - In Localisation> Parameters (Version 1.6.0.9), both default langage and default country are set to France. - And the "detect the langage according to the navigator" option is turned to "False" in file Cookie.php. - We've set hreflang attribute this way : "</title><link rel="alternate" hreflang="fr" href="https://www.mysite.com/fr/1-product.html" /><link rel="alternate" hreflang="en" href="https://www.mysite/en/1-product.html" /> Google asked us to make the modification and check on http://shotsherpa.com/ that an URL in www.site.com/fr/products points on French langage page... and it's not, even when you simulate a connexion from a French city. One more thing, we've got another website based on 1.6.1.8 version, and everything works just fine. Can someone help ?
Knowband Plugins
Site URL please? Kindly confirm if you are using any module related to language auto switch based on country location?
Ben_outside
Hey, I just sent the URL to you in private. We're not using any other module regarding langages than the existing ones in the original Prestashop 1.6.0.9 version. Thanks,
Ben_outside
Hi, Help anyone ?
Knowband Plugins
I have checked the shared URL. Something is wrong. While I am opening the french site directly (/fr) then still the content of the site is in the English language. The content of the site is changing only when you are switching the language using the language switcher. Ideally opening the site i.e. www.example.com/fr should display the content directly in the French language which is not true in your case. Also, URLs of site are in the english while accessing the fr site directly. Kindly disable third party modules (one by one) & check.
