Upgrading 1-click auto upgrade caused The server returned a "500 Internal Server Error"

Hi,

I am running PrestaShop 1.7.4.2.  I have upgraded the “Auto upgrade” to the newer version, as was suggested by BO on Prestashop 1.7.4.2 notification under Module and right after successfully upgrading the module I got 

Oops! An Error Occurred
The server returned a "500 Internal Server Error".
Something is broken. Please let us know what you were doing when this error occurred. We will fix it as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

And now I can’t access the BO but the FO is running.  

I appreciate your help on how to fix this issue

I've just got the same problem and need a solution ASAP!

The difference that I was updating 1-click upgrade module in 1.6.1.17 version. 

BO is not working (HTTP ERROR 500), but FO is working.

I've seen a notification that my website is running on PHP 5.2 and soon it will not be supported. Maybe it's because of this?

 

P.S. In my other site (version 1.6.1.19) update went fine. But it is on different server.

Update: I removed autoupgrade module from FTP, now BO is working.
