Email - SMTP with Email addresses, that needs authentification

I have searched a lot in the forum, but I do not finde a reply to this question.

I do have my own web and email server. I set up my smtp server that it needs authentification.

How can I set this up in the pref of prestshop?

I do not see anywhere a setting, to say, that my email server need authentification.

do I have to hardcode this?

- Click radio button "Set my own SMTP parameters. For advanced users ONLY"

Thanks, but I do know, where to set up the SMTP configuration.

What I miss, as mentioned above, is to have the possiblity to say, that my email server need authentification to send emails.

This is what I'm missing. I have to have the possibility to set this up, because Im not going to set my email server back, that it does not need the authentification, because then I'm going to be spamer for 100% as everybody could send emails through my email server, as it is not needing authentification.

I really do not understand, why this is not in the standard of Prestashop, since nearly every email hoster need authentification.

Is there a hack or somebody, who is offering his service to implement this?

I think this setting should be at your mail server. Most cases mail server require authentication by default. You may consult your hosting provider.
