quantities of products when they are added attributes

Hi, I want to edit the quantities of products when they are added attributes of the product. How to unlock the box in the tab info? Where to make changes in the code?

When you add attributes, each combination gets it's own stock, you can edit the stock from the combinations tab of a product editor.

I have tried this and not sure why when I click the edit button next to the attributes where they all show the same quantity nothing actually opens or happens. I can delete the individual attributes but not edit them??
No idea why..

When you click edit, nothing will change on that page except that the attribute will be populated at the top, try changing the quantity and click update combination

I just figured that out where it poulates it at the top. So I changed the item attribute that's out of stock to 0 but you can still add to basket and checkout? I thought it would show out of stock or not be an available option?

That depends on your "Out of stock" settings, (allow or deny orders) in the preferences tab (global) or the product editor (per product)
