danybaydoun
hello guys, This is dany from lebanon. I hope someone can help me with an issue that i've been facing for 2 days. I am working on a 1.6.3.3 prestashop website on my server: http://162.246.19.206:666/prestashop now when i try to change the domain name and shop url to www.barlivery.com all i am seing after the domain name has been forwarded to http://162.246.19.206:666/prestashop is the following URL: www.barlivery.com/prestashop/index.php i am getting redirect to this URL. I am using port 666 as port 80 is being used by iis for a different website build in asp.net. so i am supposed to run apache on 666 port. The website is installed under htdocs/prestashop/ any help is highly appreciated, Thanks in advance, Dany
Rolige
Hello, It's because you have the shop files on "htdocs/prestashop/" instead of "htdocs/", is evidence your shop never will work on www.barlivery.com, so if will works on "www.barlivery.com/prestashop", what do you need? Change the "Shop domain" and "SSL domain" to: www.barlivery.com Change the "Base URI" to: / Save! Move your files from "htdocs/prestashop/" to "htdocs/" Once moved, login to your back office in the new path "www.barlivery.com/admin_folder" and regenerate the URLs by disabling and enabling the friendly URL Regards! Please can you confirm if the forwarding is done right? below is a screenshot
danybaydoun
after following the steps that you have provided, now when I access www.barlivery.com it's redirecting to https://www.barlivery.com knowing that ssl is disabled. Any idea what's happening?
danybaydoun
so now the website works only if i attach :666 port number to my shop url, domain name, and domain ssl and .htaccess domain Edited August 13, 2018 by danybaydoun (see edit history)
Rolige
I really don't know everything you have made, my instructions will works in a normal situation, when you have a domain name pointed to a normal server without any special port.
danybaydoun
yeah i see, so you think that i should be pointing only to port 80?
Rolige
Port 80 is the default port, thats not necessary

Knowband Plugins
It's not clear what you are trying to achieve? I checked your website i.e. http://www.barlivery.com & it's redirecting to www.3glebanon.com Do you want to point http://www.barlivery.com to PrestaShop folder? musicmaster
I am puzzled what you are trying to do. What you are doing in post #3 is definitely wrong. You should not use the forwarding options of your provider. Instead you should take care that your settings for the domain point to the right directory. danybaydoun
Hey musicmaster. Let me brief about some facts. I am using on port 80 and 443 for iis and hosting a website there (3glebanon.com) I am using port 666 for xampp and trying to host www.barlivery.com. Do you have any step by step instruction to do this?
