the mechanic
Hi AllI am new to this forum. Also to Presta shop. I used to use ekmpower shop but they where not advanced enough for my needs. I changed over to presta shop and have been using it for over 2 months now.I need your help I would like it for you to take a look at my website www.freeflowbikes.com and let me know what you do not like about it. Yes you read correctly I need to know what does not work so I can fix it and who better to ask lol.My personal opinions of the site are: It is too slow to load up the main menu tabs ie clicking on Bikes it takes about 15-20seconds to load. What do you all think of this problem any way it can be speeded up?I would also like to ask if anyone knows why my copy button does not work in the backend of the site when I go to copy product it comes up with an error message. There are a couple of more errors but they can weight.I hope I have entered this in to the right section of the forum. Thank you all in advance. ruilong
it took me about 10s to load the bikes page and I am in China, on your server there are a total of 9 other websites running so the load can't be that much.. maybe the servers or the connection to the server is slow? Bluemoon08
I'm in the U.S. and the site doesn't take too long to load for me. It's not ultra fast but it's not annoyingly slow.I clicked on a bunch of pages and my impression is "WOW!" It looks great and professional! If you can iron whatever errors you found, you'll have a great site! I'm impressed and looking forward to seeing if I can create something as snazzy.Sorry that I don't have any constructive criticism for you. jhnstcks
First off, its a nice looking site, I like the featured product area.Tooks about 12 seconds for me to load the category pages, which for me is too long, if I was a customer I would have clicked back or closed the screen. The scrolling banner at the top isnt smooth scrolling, its quite jerky. On this page the top navbar and bottom navbar are slightly out of place.I can't seem to find a link to a login page. How much is delivery?Thats all I could see at first glance. Cédric Girard
HelloI think your webserver is too light, really too light even if you website is straighly heavy 8-/ I think you could win some Ko in JS and CSS pages (you could minimize JS scripts and slightly win space on CSS...) ; on the other hand, lots of pictures have to be optimized (for example the categories pictures should be coded in indexed GIF or PNG ; the header picture is 97 Ko weight, it's really heavy !)For the first load, your homepage is more than 600Ko weight !!!PS : really nice webshop !!! I have noticed the banner being jercky before but it mostley runs smooth can you please tell me what internet explorer you are using to see if that has something to do with it?Also for the top navbar on that pageI think it has something to do with how the blog is run in that I dont think I can put it there or can I?
