[SOLVED] Problem with installation (can't write settings file)

I´m getting the following when i try to install Prestashop:

Can't write settings file, please create a file named settings.inc.php in config directory.

The file (settings.inc.php) does get created in /config, but it only contains 5 characters (<?php), nothing else.

EDIT:
I managed to fix it.
The problem was regarding to "zend".
I just added:
ini_set('zend.ze1_compatibility_mode', '0');
