How can I allocate attributes or features to products

[solved] Hi every one I'm now to all this and I should say up front I'm not techie minded, so replies in simple language please.

I'm wanting to allocate two drop-down menu's to some of my products.

1) So that the customer can choose the required size of garment
2) so that they may choose thier required colour.

I'v been trying to work it out for hours and have only succeeded in giving myself a very severe headach.

Can anyone please help me. I can't go any further setting up my store without this information

Please please help me.

In the product editor, go to the combinations tab, or the features tab.

It may be easier to look at the existing examples that come in the Prestashop installation (the iPods)

Many thanks for your speedy reply, whilst I have now sorted that one Out it has in turn caused a knock on preblem. in that when I put two combinations together I get "Product does not exist in the model" please choose another one.

I realize I must be doing something wrong because if I take out the colour choice and leave size it works and visa versa, just not with the two togeher.


any helpfull suggestions please.

Use the "Combination Generator" (link at the top of the combination tab), it will create them properly, and you could see how they need to be set.
