User1234567891
For one of my clients I need to add set up costs to products. These costs are additional on top of the product price. These costs are the same whether the client orders 25 items or 100 items. Also different products can have different set up costs. So I cannot just add a fee on an order. Is there anyway I can realize this?I would like these additional costst to show in the cart and on the invoice. I have been fiddling around with shipment but that doesn't seem the go.Thanks heaps! justdogwalking.com
I have had a similar problem but with shipping. The way I got round it was to have an addional product called - in your case set up costs - you can then add a link in the product to its set own up costs (product) which they then add to the cart. My shipping products are visible but I would imagine you can make them blind until the link is clicked? Its not an elegant solution but try experimenting. Kelvin Koh
There are 2 ways to work around this:1. Using combinations. Since setup cost is mandatory for purchasing the product, make 1 combination with setup cost and another without (as additional unit purchases). So if your customer wants to buy 5 items, he has to order 1 item with setup cost (make it the default) + 4 additional items without.2. Using "Pack" featureCheck the "pack" option for the product and link it to the specific setup cost which is also a product by itself.
