tommy100
Hi,I'm interested in using the Moneybookers module. I've read in another thread that it's possible to signup at Moneybookers using this link Presta conditions. I've compared the conditions shown on this page to the standard conditions shown here standard conditions:Standard2,9% + 0,25€Gateway usage 19,95€ per month (starting 1th of April)Presta2,99% + 0,23€Gateway usage ?What's the reason for these slight differences concerning the fees? How much does the Gateway usage cost using the Presta conditions? Thanks,Tommy
tommy100
If would be nice if someone of the Prestashop team could answer this question. Thanks,Tommy
mirifica
very funny.- for a 0 EUR transaction, you save 2 EUR-cent (over 25 EUR-cent commission payed anyway).- for a 50 EUR transaction, you get break even.every 50 EUR exceeding this first 50 EUR, you loose 2 EUR-cents.If you take into consideration the time you spent evaluating and comparing these offers, you already have a non-recoverable loss. mirifica
This doesn't answer my questions not at all, I can calculate myself. Dear tommy100,your reply to my post is very nice of you unto me and all forum members who read it. Apart from that, it would be interesting to know what makes you assume that my post in your topic was intended to1) answer your question,2) mean that you cannot calculate yourself. Now to your statements: as far as I know, everybody not only is free to give his/her contributions to the community members that cannot or do not want to calculate themselves, but also should be praised for any effort they put in an attempt to contribute to the community.Have a nice and friendly day. Hello mirifica, this is the nature of a forum: somebody has a question and opens therefore a new topic. Normally people only reply if they can answer the question. Of course everybody is free to post if he like, even if he can't answer the question, but this doesn't make much sense. But the most important thing is: the answer should be polite. Check your first answer again and then ask yourself if this is the case. You start with "very funnny" and close with "If you take into consideration the time you spent evaluating and comparing these offers, you already have a non-recoverable loss.". You obviously make fun of me what I find offensive. So you shouldn't be surprised about my answer.
mirifica
I will try to support you once again and for the last time, let's see if I manage.1st sentence:"very funny" = "the prestashop-moneybookers offer is a funny one", as it is not really an offer but a reformulation of the regular conditions.2nd sentence (numerical considerations):It was intended, as I wrote, to support "community members that cannot or do not want to calculate themselves" and, above all, as a mathematical proof to support and emphasize your statements, not to dispute them.3rd sentence:"If you take ..." is an impersonal construction, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generic_youagain meant as an invitation to the community to consider how useless (or even detrimental) this Prestashop Moneybookers offer is.That is it. tommy100
Hi mirifica, obviously I completely misunderstood your posting, my apologies for this!To come back to the topic of this thread: I found this press release of Prestashop and Moneybookers Press release. Interesting is this sentence "Through this partnership, merchants using PrestaShop will be able to receive optimized rates on Moneybookers' services.".So PLEASE prestashop team explain us in which way the rates are optimized. Looking at the published numbers doesn't help. This forum has 4 moderators. If none of them can answer this question, this question should be forwarded to somebody who can answer it. In my opinion this is necessary for the sake of transparency.
HerCool
I got this from Moneybookers when I tell them that I run Presta:Visit www.moneybookers.com and follow a few simple steps to open your merchant account. This process takes about 2 minutes and will require you to provide some basic information. If you have already opened a Moneybookers account then we will automatically activate it for you. This process can take up to 2 working days and you will receive an e-mail confirming that the account has been activated and that you are ready to start accepting payments via Moneybookers.Moneybookers pricing structure is transparent. There are NO set up costs and NO ongoing monthly fees. You simply pay a small fee every time someone makes a payment. I opened acc on 1.12.10. Many thanks for this information, this is very interesting! If these are still the current Prestashop rates, they are in fact better than the standard rates. But these are not the rates which are shown when you go to the signup page advertised by Prestashop which can be seen here Presta conditions. So this still needs clarification from Prestashop side. There are NO set up costs and NO ongoing monthly fees. This statement from Moneybookers is interesting, because it differs from the information which is shown here Moneybookers fees. If you go to the section additional fees information, you can see that starting from 1st of April a Gateway usage fee of 19.95 € per month applies. So this also needs clarification from Prestashop side.

pitus
Dear all,I read this thread a while ago and decide that Moneybookers.com could be a nice solution for one of my sites. After signing, getting the page checked, tested the payment module and so on, thay informed me that due to the type of business the payments would be in reserve for 7 days (I suppose to cover possible paybacks). After the first payments came, I saw with surprise that the real fee is 5.58% + 0,23 € as transaction feeI´have claimed via e-mail to the merchands support a couple of days ago and still waiting answer. Therefore, for those of you who want to try moneybookers, you´d better ask a confirmation in writing of all fees involved.Attache you´ll find the proof of my claims. As soom as I get some more information from my claim I will post it here bellowNEW UPDATEAfter two o three days, I got an e-mail confirming that there was an error and moneybookers credited back the surplus charged. They look quite fair
