Tweaking 1.4 and 1.6

I need some tweaking to my websites.

the 1.4 version.

1. after login the page should stay where it was rather than going to the account page

2. the footer.tpl file does not update even though I updated the file in the module folder. i will need to know how to fix this in the future once the task has been completed.

3. I have a zipcode module. I set up free delivery to a particular zipcode in the zipcode module than set up free shipping over $35 in the shipping/handling settings. Now the zipcode module is not working as all orders over $35 regardless of the zipcode are set to be shipped free. I was able to overcome this but setting the shipping cost to $0.01. Any other suggestions would be welcome. I would also prefer to have cities rather than zipcodes as a determining factor for shipping cost although not sure how easy it is to implement.

 

the 1.6 version

2. need a shipping module where i can determine cost by cities

3. the customisation part is not working. it says "undefined" instead of the message customer enters.

4. "add to cart" button should be below calendar on product page
