DJDS
Hello, I need to manually migrate products, customers and orders from a Prestashop database (1.5.4.1) to a new store that's a Prestashop 1.7.3.2. Since the schema has changed between versions does anyone already done this and can help? Thanks in advance.

Bill Dalton
I have tried all the available migration tools. You need to understand that the only thing you are going to get transferred is your customer data and orders. The theme and modules will all need to be replaced. Some of the migration tools claim to import category and exact page name structure but 1.7 has so many changes that you end up with a Frankenstein of your former store. By the time you replace all your modules and begin to add additional products you are stuck in a constant war with the old vs new. You can transfer orders and customers and existing products by upgrading with the free 1-click upgrade module from 1.5 to 1.6. you can then upgrade from 1.6 to 1.7 also using 1-click upgrade. That said you will most likely need to replace your product images to better match your new theme. Bottom line be prepared to replace all modules and theme with a compatible version for 1.7. Do this only in a test environment. You will not get a working web site up quickly. Currently if you are not a strong PHP coder I would not attempt to work with PS 1.7 Hiring a professional is another option. Personally I'm just a merchant not a coder so what do I know, FWIW. Constantino
You can try to make it via export and import with trial version of Store Manager fo PrestaShop. Safe enough and support can help with migration.
