stuffy
Hi,I have made vast modifications to the design and layout solely using the global.css. If I upgrade, will i be able to just upload my existing css file or is prestashop v1.3.5 completely different? Also, by upgrading, do I have to do all the cms pages and set up carrier info and payment settings all over again? Also, by upgrading, do my product stay in the db?Sorry about all the Qs I'm just debating whether its worth upgrading or just buying/cutting the specific features out of the latest prestashop release.I look forward to hearing from someone soon.Kind regards,Stuffy
rocky
PrestaShop v1.4 is completely different to PrestaShop v1.3.5. You will likely need to redo all of your modifications by overriding controllers and classes instead of modifying files. That's a lot of work, but it will make upgrading in the future easier. stuffy
Wow. Not what I was hoping to hear! I'm allergic to work now!So would the products all need to be uploaded AGAIN?
rocky
No, all your existing products, customers, orders, etc will work in PrestaShop v1.4. The installer will automatically upgrade your database from v1.3 to v1.4. It's just the files that have been modified that you have to worry about.
