Edit Manufacturers Menu Text

Hi

I have read on how to change the manufacturers to brands but still have problems as I am new to this. I can not edit it from the back office (Use Translations) as I get an error with php_value max_input_vars

I did try to follow the threads but do no understand on how many places I need to edit.
Also this is MySQL version 5.5.60-0+deb7u1-log is that out of date? Hence I get an error message?

Hi I no longer get the error max_input_vars but from Translations after editing manufacturers to brands it doesn't update in the frontend (top menu)
