Static
HiIm close to finishing a pro-theme but i have a couple of questions i need to ask.I have never made a pro-theme before and i would like to know:1. what licence do you use for pro-themes.? I want to protect my designs.2. What is a good price to sell a theme. $60 and $70 for a theme seems to much, but i dont want to go to cheap. How about $20 or $30?If anyone could help, i would appreciate it.
ruilong
Depends on the theme and how much time you put into it, if the design is good I don't think 70$ is too much.
Static
Thanks for the reply.I guess when you consider starting from scratch and charging a client $40+ an hour then $60 or $70 is resonable. How about licencing? anyone got any idea's? hieloiceberg
Is a very interesting question! I probably charge like 15 to 30 dollars if they are for people to download or even less and charge for support since at the end they get posted in some forum for people to download, now if you are doing one for a special client you can charge whatever you want ($200.00 - $500.00 is just a sample) since it will be limited to that customer only and remember that you probably end up doing the logo o flash animation on it. (that’s my opinion only lol)
Guest
Well, depend on how you will sell it, unique design VS multi-sales...
Static
It will be multi-sales downloaded from my site. Its close to being finished. I need to sort out the licencing.
