Fazza09
I'm in the middle of adding products to my catalog and I have started to put in the supplier details. In my mind (such as it is ) I thought that putting the suppiers details in would be only visible in the back end so I can see which supplier I brought the stock from so i can re-order it.I just clicked on the Site Map option and it listed my suppliers! Should this be here and is there a way of removing it so my suppliers details are securely in the back office part of PrestaShop?
EnigmaPsi
Right! This is a valid question. Suppliers should only be used in the back office, and maybe to update information directly from them, in the DB (like stock, prices, etc). Is there any way to make them invisible in the frontend? Thanks
jhnstcks
Yes, uninstall the suppliers block and remove the link to that page on your sitemap.tpl file in your theme folder.I suppose you could remove the supplier.tpl and php files completly if you dont want that page at all, although I don't know what affect this may have on your site. Fazza09
Thanks for your replies!I dont want to start removing or editing files at this stage as I havent settled on a theme just yet and dont want to get in to a mess! What I have done is simple uninstall the module in the backend that showed the site map option on the front end of the website so for the time being, problem solved!
