Fazza09
Hi!I've been playing around with PrestaShop for about a week now and after trying many other ecommerce solutions I have found that PrestaShop is the one for me!I have now started to upload products to my catalog in the back office and I now have a question regarding tax, namely VAT.As a sole trader that is under the £67,000 threshold for having to charge VAT (UK Tax), I mustnt charge for VAT on my website. If I put all my prices as 'No Tax' when adding my items to the catalog what will happen when I start adding items to the basket and then checkout? Will it say Tax or VAT - as for a sole trader like myself it mustn't say it?Many thanks in advance.
jhnstcks
You can edit your product.tpl file in your theme folder and remove the bits that say inc. Tax.Thats what I did.
Fazza09
Hi! Thanks for the reply. After doing a bit of research on the internet, if you'rre not likely to reach the threshold for having to register for VAT then the prices you sell at should not include VAT as VAT has already been paid on the stock at the wholesalers. So all my prices on my site have no tax added to them and I have set the site not to show any prices with or without tax so it just says a price.Job Done!
