Mail Alert extension - category based e-mail?

Hello everybody,

I've just found the module Mail Alerts to provide alerts upon low stock levels.

What I'd need is an extension of this behaviour but I can't find any.

Actually the real shop is arranged by departments so that every category on the online shop belongs to a specific dept.  Every dept. has an e-mail.

My need would be to get low level stock e-mail periodically (say weekly e-mail) grouped by category and, thus, sending that e-mail to the specific dept. e-mail address.

As an example, if there's a category "TV" and a cat. "Smartphones" we would have a TV Dept. and a Smartphone Dept. with e-mails [email protected] and [email protected].

If I run in low stock on Huawei P8 Lite which is a smartphone I'd need to tell that to [email protected]. [email protected] don't care and should not be aware of that.

Is there a module that acts like this?
