currency and language blocks not working

Ok so I have "Currency block v0.1" and "Language block v0.1" both installed and enabled yet neither of them are being displayed on my website. I thought maybe I dont have other languages installed or something but surely it would still display a flag for the language I have set as default?

Is "Block payment logo v0.2" supposed to be displayed on the homepage too?

I was also wondering if there was a module to display the users currently online, on the homepage? I mean 1 that the general public can see.
