Tintarella
This must be due to cache but..I've cleaned it all out. When the shop is displayed in IE it shows my native (only existing language in the shop) language, but in FF it still shows english. This is a bit wierd. I've erased all languages, I even took the "en" folder away from the server. Still FF = English IE=Native. And of course, it's my native language I want. How do I re-install a language-pack manually?
Tintarella
This is getting more wierd. Now I see the categories in IE, but not in FF. I cannot save new products because I have to fill in "friendly URL", which isn't anywhere on the damn page!
polleke
When creating/editing products look for a little arrow on the first page which has "Click here to improve product's rank in search engines (SEO)" behind it. Click on that arrow and it will reveal the field you need to fill in.
Tintarella
Thanks, It was hidden. But still, IE = English FF = Native. How the hell is that possible?
d0m1n1k
prestashop detects the settings of your browser.so it might be, that you set priority of english in your browser language list over your native languageiexplore: extras -> internet options -> languagesfirefox: extras -> settings -> content -> languagesgreetings
Tintarella
Okey, thank you very much. I will check it out. I just don't understand why browser settings overrule the settings in the prestashop admin. It's just wierd, isn't it?
d0m1n1k
default language from admin is used if browser doesn't has preverences.you should see it as a service to your customers, if their browser knows what language they would like to see, and prestashop has this translation, he will see what he'd like to see
Tintarella
Well my friend, I have my native language as nr#1 in Firefox, but it still chose to display it all in english. In IE I cannot find the settings menu for language, but it displays it in my native language. So, I feel like Ricky Martin - "A bit confused"
Tintarella
The "Lorem ipsum" text at the front page is visible in FF but not in IE...that doesn't feel stable IMHO
