rocky
Make sure those directories in bold exist on your server and that all your directories have chmod 755 and files have chmod 644 permissions.

Carl Favre
Hi italay, You have to be able to write on these files/folders so permissions should remain.
Grandpa' Toys
When trying to install PrestaShop, I am having a problem getting past the "Configuration is invalid" statement. I am very familiar with shopping carts like this one. I know how to set write folder permissions (recursive or non). For example, /log has a big red x. I know where it is located in the directory structure and how to drill down to it in an FTP program. So, I set the log folder and the files in it to 777. It still shows a red x in the wizard installer. I have tried emptying cache and deleting cookies, rebooting the computer, etc. Still I get the big red x and know, for a fact, the log folder has recursive write permissions set. Doe anyone know why this is happening, and how to correct it? I thought this was supposed to be an easy install. I have had much easier installs with Zen Cart, Ocommerce, OpenCart, etc. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Grandpa p.s. Why do they not put more of the path( and not just the /) to these folders that need write permisssions? They can be rather difficult to locate. El Patron
the '/' indicates your root folder...which prestashop doesn't really know or care about..i.e. public_html for example...if you used a folder for your install...then it would know what '/' is.
