Gipa
HiI have the 1.4 beta-version.I am trying to create extra cms-pages, and as I understand it, I can create subcategories so I can categorize the pages. I have now created a subcategory, but when I create a page, I can only choose the category "Home"...?Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug...?) rocky
I'm using PrestaShop v1.4 Beta 2 for my new site and the CMS categories are working fine for me. I've added a separate CMS category for each of my guides. I'm not sure why it isn't working for you. Perhaps your database is missing the ps_cms_category table? When I create a new CMS page, I see the following:
Gipa
That's really weird - mine doesn't give me a list like that...Well, never mind. I can just create pages in the Home-category and put them in the cms-blocks I want... ;o)But thanks for the answer! )
Gipa
Argh! Turns out that my product-categories have the same issue...I tried upgrading to beta3, but I still have the same problem. The new categories show up in the frontpage, but they are listed as -- in the backend category list, and I can't choose them in any lists. They are simply not there, when I need to choose a category for a product or a parent category for a new category. What on earth should I do?I can't use Prestashop without product categories...!? rocky
It might be caused of a failed upgrade. Try doing a clean install in a separate directory and check whether the categories and CMS categories are working then.
jdelgado
This is such a nice enhancement.Unfortunately we need to work with a stable version (we have 1.3.5) for this current project and I wonder if we could have something similar implemented in it.Perhaps with a 3rd party module or extension? All we need is to have 2 content categories created with the CMS tab.One for SERVICES (with 5 pages inside) and one for COLLECTIONS (with 3 pages inside). Thanks in advance for you help.

jdelgado
Hi gener1c,What do you mean by installing CMS again?I'm using a Prestashop version (1.3.5) that doesn't have the option to create subcatedories in the CMS tab.I can have several pages with information about our furniture shop but uncategorized. What I need instead is something like this: - SERVICES (info about our services) - Transport - Rent for an event - Montage - Decorator advice - COLLECTIONS (info about our materials) - Rafia - Iron - Blaoui - Others
