crisb
I have all the settings in the back office set correctly, and I have set the validate page in paypal preferences. I receiving the payment in my Paypal Account ,but the order status in the back office is ALWAYS "Payment Error" and a message saying: "Warning, $211,32 payed instead of $111.16" something like that. What is causing this error?I have to change manually the order status from payment error to payment accepted then a see Valid orders placed:1,etc but even after that a still got the message.(see picture)Funny thing is that I have a order made in POUNDS(UK) and everything went well. But the first time I got this messages was in a order made from a person in USA and today from a person in Germany(euros). My default currency on Prestashop and Paypal is Pounds. I am using Prestashop Version 1.0.0.8 (with the Paypal v1.4)Also the e-mail that I received confirm a order has a error(see picture).I really appreciated if someone could give a solution for that asap since I just start getting some customers but can have this kind of issue. Besides that other people may having the same problem.Thank you.
Damien Metzger
2 points:- The german problem IS a problem. If it's pending then it hasn't been paid, and if it's pending it's a paypal problem, prestashop can't do anything about that.- In your paypal account configuration, you choose "convert other currency to british pounds". If we send an order in $ and paypal answers in £, it may be a problem. It ma be a prestashop issue too, I don't know (we do not intend issues ^^), but maybe first you should try to change this setting.
crisb
Hello Damien,Thank you for your reply.Regarding the German order I just send in case have something related as I see the Warning Error, but I know the pending is a Paypal "issue" or problem however you prefer to call it. But don't seem that change the paypal configuration for Ask me will resolve the problem. Since there are other posts with the same problem related to the currency. Here are the links in case you want to check out.http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/7390/general_discussion/currency_problemhttp://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/749/general_discussion/resolved_paypal_module__quotpayment_error_quotAnother problem is the stock update in the back office, is this related with the currency? Since for all orders that coming form outside of UK like:France,USA,etc the quantity is not changing in the BO. So maybe this can be another issue(rs) or can be something that I haven't setup correct in the BO.Once more thank you for your time.
Damien Metzger
Then if it's really a bug, you should add it in the bug tracker (if it's not there yet)
crisb
Sorry, that's why I am asking here before post as a bug.Because could be something that has a simple solution. So, you suggested me to change the Paypal but you didn't say to each option. In your opnion should I change the block currency sent to Ask me or Yes? And if I change it to any of this options will I be able to receive orders from outside of UK?I know you must be very busy with other big problems but if you could answer this 2 questions I appreciate. Thanks
Damien Metzger
You should try each option and tell us if it works
crisb
Alright , I'll keep you posted. First I need to wait until another other from outside of Uk comes in.
Paul C
crisb. In your paypal account have you set it to automatically accept payments in currencies that you don't hold (and convert them)? If you don't then they'll sit waiting for you to approve them...... the completed IPN should be sent once the payment has been accepted. On the differences in the amounts, that's down to the lack of checks on the currency I think and IS a bug. I'll try and test it out on my "improved" module and see what happens. It rings a bell, so maybe I addressed that Paul
crisb
Hi Paul,My actual setup is for accept others and convert then to Pounds. There's a picture of my paypal setup on the first post. I saw your old post and though that may be a different problem since my setup is the one you have suggested. But than, I got this answer from the Prestashop Team. So, I decide give it a try since I was left with no other option.Anyways,I didn't change anything yet. My problem it's not the German order pending, but the Message error that I getting with orders out of UK like in the order from German and USA and the Products Quantity at the Back office not getting update with this orders even when I change to payment accepted. In the case of the USA order I got the error message but received the payment without problems in my paypal so I changed to payment accepted but the Quantity of Products haven't changed. So I have to do this manually for a couple of orders. I asked, but how you can see I wans't very luck with the Prestashop Team.:)rsThank you for your reply and if something change I'll post here. One more thing do you think I should update for your Paypal Module v2.0?
Paul C
You could try it, because it pre-creates the order then it might (by luck) sort this issue out too, although it is fairly experimental so may introduce others problems, who knows! It's being used by a couple of people I know of successfully though.Paul
