guest*
Why isn't any editor included for category-description ? I think this is very usefull, if you want to ad pictures or links in text there, i.e. give the text a special format.
rocky
I guess the PrestaShop team decided that one banner and a simple text description was enough. You can post a feature request on the bug tracker. Hopefully, the PrestaShop team will consider it.
guest*
Hi Rocky, I posted it to bug tracker. I really don't understand the presta decision. A simple text is readable ok. But if you want to have more, with valuable content for SERP's you cannot write all in one line, without any html-codes. I included tinyMCE in category but it still does not work at my satisfaction. No bold, no links, no enumerations an also no extra pictures are possible. You said that you can include pictures. Sorry I con't discovered this feature till now. Do you mean scenes ? nish
i managed to insert WYSIWYG editor on category pages + added image viewer extension to the editor as well. This will be a great advantage to client who wish to add more content rich category descriptions. Hope the development team will think of this for future developments. guest*
Hi nish, I inserted according to forum posts the tinymce, but it does not work. (links, images, not possible to insert). Do you have a workaround for the WYSIWIG editor. Is this a special editor ? Sorry I'm not a coder. I really need a good editor for category description to don't loose content. cartcreative
I have added in the tinyMCE editor for the category descriptions, but it keeps stripping out the html. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!
guest*
Which presta version ? On Version 1.4.0.17 tinyMCE had many changes and now it works correct. I didn't added it to the categories, because I'm using Prestagate to manage my catalog and here the Editor ist included for products and categories. cartcreative
This is on 1.4.0.17. I've added tinyMCE into both the category descriptions and the store notes, and both of them have the same problem. Everything appears to work fine until you save the changes, and then all the html is stripped out of the editor. If anyone has any idea of what might be causing it, I'd love to know. Its really frustrating!
