mrfreakywise
Hi Guys, I have carefully followed the instructions step by step. However when I put in my url in hope that the installation page would come up and it comes up blank. Any ideas? Is this issue specific to Yahoo? Many thanks,
rocky
It may be specific to Yahoo. I've heard that they only support PHP4 and PrestaShop requires PHP5. I'm not sure whether that has changed. You can edit config/config.inc.php and temporarily change 'display_errors' from 'off' to 'on'. That will give you an error message instead of a blank page, which will help to figure out what is going wrong.

Your advice worked now another problem. When I try to log into mysql the following error comes up phpMyAdmin - ErrorCannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly. Any tips on how I can resolve this. I'm so close but am pulling my hair out. Have repaired, deleted folder and reinstalled database to no avail. rocky
Since it's phpMyAdmin, that's something you will have to ask your host about.

They do not give you the same control over the hosting as other companies. There are much better hosting options than Yahoo. They have fallen behind in service and technology.
