Jimbo50
I have tried to add a new sub category and products to my site. The sub category and first product went on okay and when I wanted to add a second I received this message;"1 errorthe field friendly URL is required at least in English (English)"It does not allow me to save and publish the item to the web.I would guesss that there is a simple step I have missed out, any suggestions??Many thanks for any input. annalin
I have the same problem but there is no field to fill in friendly URL so what am I supposed to do? Can't save the product beause of this. And no, I have not checked friendly URL under preferences. In catalog/category there is a field for this and I have filled it in since it is requested. Still I can't save a product or edit one and save.
rocky
You must click the "Click here to improve the product's rank in search engines (SEO)" link to reveal the friendly URL field. Make sure it isn't empty. If you type the product name, it is automatically filled in. If you paste the product name, it won't be automatically filled in. annalin
Thank you, I found it myself yesterday. Never saw it before. It's easily to get stressed and blind when things are not working...
Jimbo50
Hi everyone,Sorry I did not get back sooner but I had solved the problem and then forgot what I had done to solve it!! Having read the last couple of posts it has all come back to me, I had drafted my entries using MS Word and when I transferred product names across I done it as a copy and paste and this created the problem. I was still able to copy and paste descriptions but I now know that I have to type in the product name description. Thanks for your replies.
