Product arrangement issue

currently using PS 1.7.2.2

I have 100 products in one category, when I move a product, so that it shows up in a different position and press the save and refresh button, it reverses the order of all of the products in the category.

Example:

I move a product from position 80/100 to 1/100, I press save and refresh, and it makes the product that I just placed in 1/100 to 100/100, along with reversing the order of all of the products in the category.

Is anyone else having this same issue?

Is there a way to prevent the products from reversing order?
