Email in Preference does not work

When I enter my email and click on forget password, it never sent me any emails.

Can someone help me?

Hi,

I am using Version 1.3.2.3. I already key in Employees --> Contacts --> I put in Customer Service email address and Webmaster email address.

After that, I go into Preferences tab and select Email.

I selected Webmaster and tried using Use PHP mail() function. At the bottom, I tried sending to another email address to test and it did not work.

I selected Webmaster and tried using SMTP which is the local server name.I key in the email address of the webmaster and
the password. Selected Non SSL and Port is 25. At the bottom, I tried sending to another email address to test, it did not work too.

Can someone please advice me?

Did you install PrestaShop on localhost or a remote? On localhost, you can't send emails. If you are using PrestaShop on a remote server, check your email configuration settings. Do you have phpmail or SMTP selected? You can send a test email on the Preferences > Email tab. If the test email works, then it must be an issue with the mail template. Check to make sure that password.txt and password.html exist in all the languages inside the mails directory.
