there are many 404 url find in google webmaster tools, what wrong?

there are many 404 url find in google webmaster tools what wrong? is it caused by use Canonical URL v1.3 or something else?
most of urls come with duplicate site domain in the link, i think this cause the problem.

Something is seriously wrong here as there seem to be more and more reports of this error on the forums with people using Prestashop ver 1.3 and above.

I've got exactly the same problem as you and the 404 errors are increasing at an alarming rate. There seem to be lots of people with different ideas on how to remedy this but no one has anything solid to report back yet. PrestaGod 'Tomerg' is even stumped by these errors but he seems to think that it is something to do with a bug in the canonical module.

there are more 404 pages especially there are more than one language used in your store

I have just release a new version for my (http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/39736/) Duplicate URL Redirect module, which fixes this issue (it redirects the bad URL caused by the canonical URL to the proper one).

Make sure to disable the canonical URL module, even when it's not buggy it's pretty much useless, since search engine still crawl the duplicate pages before they see the canonical tag
