Tintarella
Anyone? It's a bit annoying since I cannot add anything anymore cos of the impossible mission to enter a "name". I can't find any info about this in the WIKI. Help help help...
qasrani
Try to logout and then log back in. If it does not work, try to put tax name in normal size. e.g. TAX (wrong), Tax, preferably without spaces if possible and try again

Tintarella
Thank you for you're time, the problem is that my TEXT FIELD is gone, meaning I have no space to enter the "name" into...which makes the entire form impossible to "save" since their is no info in the MISSING text field, which is of course required. polleke
Is that the only place where you are missing a field ?? What browser do you use, possible plugins etc. ?
Tintarella
The name field are missing everywhere which means that I cannot add/edit/remove products at all..I've tried it in both newest FF and IE. Same problem. I think this could have started when I erased all original products in the store. No plugins that could affect this no, all the other fields are visible. French developers, PLEASE WAKE UP AND RESPOND. Thanks
qasrani
I am really sorry, but my knowledge is ending here. I hope you can still get more help from other nice fellows. If you have this store online, and it is your trial one, may be you can share some details so anyone from here can log-in to that site and try to see what is wrong. BEAWARE: If you do so, do it on your own risk please!
polleke
Assuming you have not yet entered any products etc. of your own the simplest an quickest way would be to just reinstall Prestashop. You can install it with no sample database if you like but I doubt deleting sample products (on it's own) did what you are experiencing.
qasrani
Deleting sample data using back office did not effected me anyway, I tried 3-4 times, both on local server and on internet too. May be system configuration differ
Tintarella
Problem is that it worked from the beginning since I was able to add a new product..Yes, re-install would be the easiest way, is there any simple way to delete it all ? polleke
Hi Tintarella,Yes, and it is weird that those fields have dissapeared. Maybe some of your files and/or database got corrupted so when you really start building your website it will be wise to backup everything frequently. To start clean and to be sure there will be no corrupt files left you can delete every Prestashop directories and files through your host panel or FTP program you use. You most likely will have a phpmyadmin interface through your hosting account also where you can simply delete all tables from your prestashop database. After that you just have a clean and empty database again and you can start from scratch.Maybe you can repeat what you did and find the step which caused this but I wouldn't try too hard %-P Good luck and hopefully no more of this
