ALCA
Thanks Appr. Now, is it wise to upgrade from 1.3.2.3 to 1.4 Beta 1 now or wait ?
Martin C
No it's not wise to upgrade, 1.4 is in beta right now and not suitable for production sites! Can't you read? rocky
If its a production site, then wait. PrestaShop v1.4 Beta 1 should be used on test sites only, not production sites.

ALCA
Done. Thanks. Now, I need a gift voucher-non refundable. Any free ideas?Alca.
rocky
I don't understand. All vouchers in PrestaShop are non-refundable. You must use them, or lose them. You can't convert a voucher back into cash.
ALCA
How about giving a gift with an order. Should the gift be printed on a voucher?Alca.
rocky
PrestaShop doesn't let you give a gift with an order, though it does let you generate a voucher for each order using the "Customers follow-up" module in the "Tools" section of the "Modules" tab. Just tick the "Enable" checkbox under "Re-order", then specify a discount percentage and validity.
ALCA
Thanks Rocky. But I need a gift with each order. Not discount or money back. Seems I need to look in Addons.Home FEATURED PRODUCTS do not changing when translating. And some other lines too do not change as well. Why?Alca. rocky
Check your file permissions. All directories should be chmod 755 and all files should be chmod 644. If that doesn't work, your maximum post size may have been exceeded. See here for the solution.
ALCA
Where are the directories and files you mention?
rocky
For the "Featured products" text, it should by the modules and modules/homefeatured directories that are chmod 755 and the files in the homefeatured directory chmod 644, but if it is a permissions issue, that will only let you translate the "Featured Products" text. If that works, you will need to change all your directories and files for all translations to work.
ALCA
Permissions are as follows: 755 for modules/homefeatured file and 644 for all other directories inside modules/homefeatured file (like homefeaturd.php etc). Any ideas?
rocky
Try increasing your maximum post size. See here.
ALCA
Sorry rocky, I cant make a sense with these you suggested me. I'm not a programmer, I'm a simple small merchant and I cant translate Featured Products in my language.Alca.
rocky
It isn't that difficult. Edit your php.ini file in the root of your server (or create one if one doesn't exist), then put the following at the bottom of the file: suhosin.post.max_vars = 4096 suhosin.post.max_value_length = 4096 If that doesn't work, try the following instead: post_max_size = 50M upload_max_filesize = 50M max_execution_time = 120 max_input_time = 180 memory_limit = 128M This is what I've used on PrestaShop websites in the past. ALCA
Hi RockyI tried those two suggestions of yours but nothing. Inside my public_html/eshop file I created a php.ini empty file where I copy pasted those two textpu suggested. Then wnet to tools-translations-module translation and I changed "Featured products" but nothing happened both times. Is there a fix for this bug anyway?Alca
rocky
I think it is a server configuration issue, not a bug. You should ask your host to help you check the permissions and modify the PHP settings.
